CARMELITE VICTIM ADORER OF THE HOLY FACE OF JESUS
Carmelite Victim Adorer of the Holy Face of Jesus – Sister Brenda Gabrielle Thérèse, O.C.D. A “garden enclosed” in which she and Jesus lovingly commune and wherein He may dwell and find comfort and consolation”
Foundress: Mother Irene Gibson of the Holy Face, O.C.D.
Place: Corran Leap, County Cork, Ireland
Year: 2016 A.D.
Her Charism: Primitive, aesthetic, and Marian in spirit, this Sister hears the echo of Our Dear Lord’s pleading invitation: “I seek Veronicas to wipe and honor my Divine Face which has few Adorers.” In her austere, humble, hidden life of love, silence, solitude, prayer, and penance, she ponders in her heart, which burns with apostolic charity, the Lord’s law day and night. Her life is a work of reparation – the most beautiful work under the sun. By uniting with Jesus in His Victimhood, she shares His work of redemption for the salvation of souls from the four corners of the globe, and is a comfort to His Sacred Heart. She keeps Him vigilant company in the Tabernacle and focuses all her attention and love on pleasing Him Who is so offended in these tumultuous times. Her prayerful cry is: “Lord, You are the Divine Gardener Who will plant Your vine here in this little garden.” † “Carmel” means “Garden of God” †
