Her Charism:  This “Brown Joey” reveals the hospitable Heart of God as she calmly and generously walks with those who are today’s poor and makes their cause her own until her last breath.  She shares what she knows about Mary’s life and spirit by making the poor in God’s vineyard her priority.  Her central identity is service to people who are without real choices, excluded, or destitute in some way.  She is the face of God’s compassionate love by reverencing dignity for all with justice, equity, and respect.  Her talents are welcomed from detention centers to courtrooms, from universities to prisons, and from hospitals to shelters.  She serves as a psychologist, artist, author, theologian, or musician, thus creating new harmonies that release the richness of her heart and charism.  This “Josephite” continues God’s mission by immersing herself in the midst of life to empower others and bring hope.
