SISTER OF ST. FRANCIS OF THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY
Sister of St. Francis of the Immaculate Heart of Mary – Sister Rosa María of the Trinity, O.S.F. “Dillingen Franciscan Sister” “A leaven of love in the world”
Founders: Count Hartmann IV von Dillingen (father) Count Hartmann V (son – made Bishop of Augsburg in 1250 A.D. )
Place: Dillingen, Bavaria, Germany
Year: 1241 A.D.
Her Charism: This Sister’s life is formed around a “common heart.” This heart is shaped by the Gospel vision of St. Francis who believed in joyfully bringing the Good News of Jesus to the people He encountered – most especially the outcasts of society. Her special gift is giving glory to God through Eucharistic Adoration, personal sanctification through crucified love, mercy, and prayer for the salvation of souls. With Mary as her inspiration and model of contemplative love, this Sister conceives, gives birth, and nurtures the life of Christ in her heart, in her community, and in the people she encounters each day. God missions her forth in the image of His Son to teach children, nurse the sick, care for the aged and crippled, make vestments and altar breads, and to offer praise and give honor to the Blessed Trinity.
