SISTER OF SAINT FRANCIS XAVIER

Sister of Saint Francis Xavier – Sister Mary Bonaventure of the Immaculate Heart, S.F.X.

Founder: Bishop Alexandre Cardot, M.E.P.

Place: Pathein, Myanmar (Burma)

Year: 1897 A.D.

Her Charism: Dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, her model in faith and perseverance in prayer, this Sister is called to be the “Light of Faith.” She makes God’s loving Presence felt through her humble services of teaching and assisting the sick poor. Her Congregation was born for the greater glory of God, the sanctification of its members, and for bringing God’s Kingdom to earth through living in the spirit of the Beatitudes. Anchored in contemplative prayer, she becomes a beautiful blend of a modern-day St. Francis Xavier (Patron of the Missions) and Jesus in order to propagate the Faith. Her motto is: Sentire Cum Ecclesia – “One with the Church.”
