Place:  Madrid, Spain

Year:  1851 A.D.

Her Charism:  Influenced by an intense and fervent Marian spirituality, this Sister wills to be transformed into another Christ to cure the sick.  Under the patronage of Our Lady Health of the Sick, (Salus Infirmorum) she participates in the salvific mission entrusted to her: “Cure those who are sick and say that the Kingdom of God is very near to you.”  Continuing the healing mission of Christ, she turns to Mary, Mother and Servant of the Lord, who is in Christ and with Christ, a great and faithful model of the social-apostolic endeavor of her religious family.  This Servant of Mary abandons herself to Divine Providence and aspires after and practices perfect charity through the diligent care of the sick and suffering, preferably in their own homes.  As a collaborator with Christ and Mary, her entire life is a poem of gratitude to the Lord as well as one of generous GRATUITY.  She is like a violet – esteemed for her aroma of deep humility.
