Her Charism: This consecrate is the Church’s perennial dawn. Her spirituality draws from St. Francis’ spirit of poverty and evangelizing, St. Thérèse’ childlike relationship with Christ as a contemplative at prayer in her cloister, St. Padre Pio and St. Maximillian Kolbe. That beautiful blend of Franciscan and Carmelite dispositions allows this Sister to be the embodiment of true dependence on God for the basic needs of life, as given freely by strangers and neighbors in encounters that change lives forever. Her life is based on radical poverty and itinerant action in the streets. She hitchhikes everywhere in simplicity and poverty, and brings people back to the sacraments – Confession and the reception of the Holy Eucharist in particular. A sign of contradiction in our self-absorbed, self-centered culture, her life is a service of charity on the side of the least as she gives flesh to the Good News of the Gospel. This little mendicant Sister can also be found working in hospitals, soup kitchens, and rescuing emigrants from boats.
