LITTLE SERVANT SISTER OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

Little Servant Sister of the Immaculate Conception –  Sister Katherine Celestyna, L.S.I.C.                                                                         “Arise, dear heart, and come.”

Founder:  Blessed Edmond Bojanowski

Place:  Stara Weis, Poland

Year:  1850 A.D.

Her Charism:  Strengthened by the Eucharist and the compassionate example of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the humble handmaid, this Little Servant of the Lord follows in the footsteps of the chaste, poor, obedient Christ.  Her charism is mission activity in the works of mercy with the poor who hunger not for bread alone, but for God first and foremost.  She works with her soul loving God above all else; she works with her heart practicing neighborly love; she works with her thought holding steadfast to the Cross of Christ; and she works with her hands serving the poor and ill, recognizing in them Christ Himself.  She is the candle – the “dear heart” – burning brightly for others.
