Place:  Tromsø, Norway

Year:  1990 A.D.

Her Charism:  As St. Teresa of Avila would have put it, “This Carmel (God’s garden) is an authentic epiphany.”  In it, this unshod Carmelite nun raises her pure heart and soul to Christ Who is her Heaven, while her shadow falls in charity upon earth doing good to all people.  Her vocation is one of prayer (a friendship with God) and sacrifice (loneliness and living strictly on alms).  In silence and solitude she converses with Him Who loves us.  While remaining as poor as the Carpenter of Nazareth, her Spouse, she lives, works, sleeps, eats, and rests conscious that one’s soul is the “castle of the King.”  The sacred and divine mysteries are expressed in each icon she paints and they become fruits of the Holy Spirit often transmitting spiritual insight.
