Her Charism: Radiating personal simplicity, pastoral naturalness, and abandonment to self, this Sister identifies intimately with the biblical handmaid. Modeling Mary’s humility, gentleness and simplicity, she is an unobtrusive assistant in the work of the Church to make Christ known and loved everywhere, especially among the young. A woman of endurance, perseverance, and buoyancy, she works inexhaustibly in isolated areas among the sick, poor, and uneducated. She hears their cries and responds. The terrain and heat alone impose involuntary holy purity. It is to remote villages that this handmaid walks to visit the people, give religious instruction, teach, nurse, and feed them from her own garden. She is happy to act as a “redemptive magnet” drawing her “little flocks” closer to salvation through the God that Mary of Nazareth conceived. In this way, she is also a beautiful and indispensable support for priests.
