FRANCISCAN SISTER OF MARY, MOTHER OF EVANGELIZATION

Franciscan Sister of Mary, Mother of Evangelization –  Sister Juliette Camille, F.S.M.M.E.                                    “As a Bride of Christ, she is called to be so heavenly minded,                                     that she is compelled to do earthly good.  Led by the Lord, she begins a life of penance,                  conscious that all of us must be continually and totally converted to the Lord.”

Foundresses:  Sister Anne Florence Leaderstorf                                                                                                             Sister Lindsey Joan

Place:  Buffalo, New York

Year:  2015 A.D.

Her Charism:  Nourished by the Eucharist, this Sister is called to be a presence of Christ to the people, accompanying them on their journey to the heart of the Church in the spirit of the New Evangelization.  She is a living expression of God’s kindness: kindness in her face, in her eyes, and in her smile.  Under the protection and guidance of Mary, the Mother of Evangelization, she lives a life of prayer, penance, humility, poverty, simplicity, and fraternity by serving the poor and the poor of heart by bringing God’s love to them.  Following in the footsteps of Saints Francis and Clare, and of Mother Teresa of Calcutta and Pope John Paul II, she desires to help fellow Catholics re-encounter Jesus and re-discover the truths of our Catholic Faith.  Her mission is to re-evangelize the faithful and fallen away and those who have never heard the Gospel message through new fervor, with new expression, and by new methods – even operating a coffee truck to bring the community of Buffalo together as brothers and Sisters in Christ.  The people sip, talk, and take the time to really listen to and care about one another and “build bridges” of understanding, compassion, and brotherhood.
