“Can you really comprehend what feelings passed through our hearts when we were clothed in the religious garments and consecrated to God after three and one-half years as candidates?…..As we were now members of a Community we had to take the yoke of Christ on our shoulders, for He says: “My yoke is sweet and light.” – Mother M. Gabriel

Her Charism:  With a generous heart this Sister responds to God’s call inspired by St. Francis of Assisi’s Gospel way of life and St. Clare.  She strives to live Gospel values in simplicity built on faith in a loving God, a joyful acceptance of poverty, love for the Church, and selfless dedication to the service of others.  Her religious profession is deeply rooted in her baptismal consecration and is a fuller expression of it.  Centered on the Eucharist, her ministry is to teach, to heal, and to love compassionately as Jesus did with a spirit of gentleness, reverence, and hospitality for all.  Her mission is to grow in holiness through witness, love, and service, “treating every person as an image of God.” In the words of St. Francis: I have done what is mine to do; may Christ teach you what is yours to do.”
