Her Charism: With fingers of faith, this Sister holds on to God’s Hand in the darkness. Touched by God’s mercy, she is called to be a life-giving woman of prayer (the atmosphere of her soul) who responds to the signs of the times by embracing the Face of the suffering Christ revealed in human pain, powerlessness, and desperation, and bringing God’s healing love to them. She listens with her maternal heart to the cry of the poor and marginalized and cleaves to the belief that compassion, in its many and varied forms, heals a world of violence. In the tradition of St. Francis de Sales and St. Jane de Chantal, she strives to be kind, patient, humble, gentle, and to embody cheerful optimism and every day virtues. By harmonizing labor with prayer and blending strength with tenderness, God works in her, through her, and by her. Her life is dedicated to serving God’s children though education and social services, This spirited Sister witnesses the Compassionate Presence of God in our turbulent world, and builds community by living the principles of peace and justice – always mindful that at the heart of her ministry is commitment to the poor.
