Missionary Sister of St. Peter Claver
Missionary Sister of St. Peter Claver – Sister Maria Olivia of the Precious Blood, S.S.P.C. Divinorum Divinissimum Cooperari in Salutem Animarum “I don’t know of anything more beautiful than to cooperate with God in the salvation of souls.” – Blessed Mary Theresa
Foundress: Blessed Mary Theresa Ledóchowska (“Mother of Africans”)
Place: Salzburg, Austria
Year: 1894 A.D.
Her Charism: Christ the Redeemer, icon for the Father’s love, is the center and reason for everything this Sister is called to do and be. With Mary as her mother and model, her missionary vocation is to serve the spiritual and social needs of the poor around the world. Leaving all to find all, she stays with Mary at the Foot of the Cross, she works, prays, and listens to hear the cry of Jesus from the Cross, “I thirst.” With the compassion of the Good Samaritan and missionary animation she stays close to her abandoned brothers and sisters and helps them materially and spiritually. She believes with all her heart that “the most divine of divine things is to cooperate with God in the salvation of souls redeemed by the Most Precious Blood of Christ.”
