Her Charism: With Mary as her model and in the spirit of of her founders, this Sister is a woman of prayer and compassion who shares in the life-giving mission of Jesus Christ. She is called to listen intently to the heartbeat of Christ, to know and celebrate God’s love for us, and to make that love known to others so they understand their life has dignity. By proclaiming that Jesus Christ has come in order that all may have life, this woman of prophetic hope reveals the tenderness of God as she seeks to respond to the cries of those on the margins and the Earth. The particular ministry to which she traditionally has been devoted is teaching in elementary schools, high schools, and college. Impelled by the Spirit, she is also a poet, theologian, writer, nurse, lawyer, chaplain, musician, and spiritual director. All her work is marked by the commitment to evangelical justice.
