Poor Clare of the Immaculate
Poor Clare of the Immaculate – Sister Maria Chiara of the Immaculate Conception, O.S.C. “Ave Maria!” “His love will make you happy.” – St. Clare
Founder: Reverend Stefano Manelli, F.I.
Place: Aulla, Italy (in the Monastery of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and Saint Joseph)
Year: 2001 A.D.
Her Charism: Like St. Clare of Assisi, this cloistered nun clings to Mary who gave birth to a Son Whom the heavens could not contain, and yet she carried Him in the enclosure of her holy womb and held Him in her virginal lap. With a Marian and Franciscan spirituality, she takes a special fourth vow of Total Consecration to Our Lady. In the garden of the Church she follows in Mary’s footsteps by leading a “hidden life” and embracing her poverty and humility. This Sister’s mission is to bring a new springtime of grace and holiness to the Church. Hidden in the Immaculate Heart of Mary she offers her prayers and sacrifices to hasten the coming of the Kingdom of God. This “hidden flower” immersed in Franciscan joy obtains graces of light for the salvation of souls through the maternal mediation of our universal Mother, Mary Immaculate. It is her ardent love of the Holy Eucharist that sustains, nourishes, strengthens, enlightens, and renews her so she can bear fruit for humanity.
