Lover of the Holy Cross
Lover of the Holy Cross – “Dòng Mên Thánh Giá” – Sister Kim An Hue, L.H.C. “Les Amants de la Croix” † The first women’s religious Order in Vietnam † “Contemplating, Remembering and Imitating Jesus’ Life on Earth”
Founder: Bishop Pierre-Marie Lambert de la Motte, M.E.P.
Place: Kiên Lao, North Vietnam
Year: 1670 A.D.
Her Charism: Because Jesus is the only object in her mind and heart, this Sister is committed to imitating Jesus Christ Crucified. Through a life of contemplation, sacrifice, and service to the poor suffering women and children, she becomes an emblem of innocence that shares her time between prayer and good works. This Sister is an angel to be respected and a virgin who cooperates with the model of the apostles on Calvary for the redemption of Mankind. Through the intercession of Our Lady of La Vang she prays, “Jesus Christ Crucified, the one and only object of our minds and hearts, we adore You because by Your Holy Cross, You have redeemed the world.”
