Franciscan of the Militia of the Immaculate
Franciscan Sister – Sister Mika Nozomi of the Holy Martyrs of Nagasaki, C.S.F.M.I. of the Militia of the Immaculate. Congregatio Sororum Franciscalium Militiae Immaculatae “Leading the world to Christ through the Immaculate Mother”
Founder: Mieczyslaw Maria Mirochna, OFM Conv.
Place: Nagasaki, Japan
Year: 1949 A.D.
Her Charism: Together with Mary, this missionary Sister has a passionate desire to lead the whole world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and fight religious indifference (the deadliest poison of the day) with the witness of a good life, prayer, hard work, and suffering. She embraces the Franciscan Rule and is illuminated and enriched by the spirituality of St. Maximilian Kolbe, a “saint without relics,” who saw Mary everywhere. In total surrender and without limits she becomes an instrument of mercy and grace in the hands of the Immaculate Mother to save souls for the Kingdom of God. This is accomplished in and through the catechetical, educational, and health field apostolates. Her Beloved Immaculata is always her inspiration because she believes that all good things will come to her through Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception.
