Her Charism:  In penitential Franciscan simplicity, poverty, and joy, this Sister takes her place with the shepherds at the side of the Christ Child in the person of the poor immigrant and homeless youth.  With fearless humility and charity she reaches out to educate and restore health and dignity, reverence, compassion, and justice to the innocent poor.  Under the patronage of the Immaculate Virgin, she lifts them up by becoming a witness to the power of God’s comforting and transforming love in human lives and to the wondrous giftedness of Creation.  She helps makes that which was bitter, become sweet.
