Franciscan Minim of Perpetual Help of Mary
Franciscan Minim of Perpetual Help of Mary – Sister Maria Mater Dei, m.f.P.S. “The Work of Atonement” “Charity and Immolation through Eucharistic Adoration with the Victim Heart of Jesus”
Foundress: Mother María Concepción of the Nativity and the Perpetual Help of Mary (María Concepción Zuñiga López)
Place: Zamora, Michoacán, Mexico
Year: 1942 A.D.
Her Charism: The work of the apostolate of this nun begins with her motto “Charity and Immolation” through Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in union with the Eucharistic Victim Heart of Jesus. Observing the spirit of littleness, this humble nun becomes the eternal mediator between Heaven and earth; between Divine Justice and a guilty world. She is invited to share the weight and the sorrows of the hidden, abandoned, forgotten, despised, persecuted, and hated without cause. She longs to save souls for Heaven and embraces them in the Merciful Heart of Jesus and strengthens the family by catechizing Catholic mothers and women through religious conferences and retreats. As a “victim soul” she teaches us the value of suffering -her voluntary crucifixion with Christ in order to live a single act of perfect love for the glory of God and to atone for the sins of a broken and hungry world. This is redemptive suffering.
