Foundress: Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God, O.S.B. (Rosalind Moss) † A Jewish convert from Brooklyn, New York who dreamt of returning the hemline the floor and the silent witness of the holy habit to the world †
Place: St. Louis, Missouri, originally; Tulsa, Oklahoma, presently
Year: 2011 A.D.
Her Charism: In a word . . . HOPE. This “pilgrim” echoes Mary’s “Yes” in offering her life as a messenger of hope to the world Christ came to save. She is a life-giving light – a radiance – who sends a message of Christ’s healing love to the streets of Tulsa, to the family (which is the primary instrument Our Lord has established to build His Kingdom on earth) and to all who long for a sign of God’s forgiving mercy. Like St. Francis de Sales, she is a peaceful conqueror of souls. Her hope is that Jesus be born in every seeking heart. Through the intercession of glorious St. Benedict who teaches her the way to religious perfection, this Sister brings love to every soul and reaches out to them with the “Faith once delivered to the saints.” Most of all, she believes that Mary, who gave the world a Savior and remained at the Foot of the Cross with steadfast hope, will intercede for us and lead us through the darkness of our trials to the radiant dawn of an encounter with the Risen Christ.
