Daughter of Mary, Our Lady of Nazareth
Daughter of Mary, Our Lady of Nazareth – Sister Hanan Adara of the Visitation, D.M.N. “Passion for God – Compassion for Humanity” “An ambassador of Christ through word and deed”
Foundress: Mother Olga Yaqob of the Sacred Heart † An Iraqi Nun affectionately known as *The Mother Teresa of Baghdad* †
Place: Boston, Massachusetts
Year: 2011 A.D.
Her Charism: Because she is an ambassador of Christ in word and deed, (inspired by Pope St. John Paul II for a New Evangelization) she is called to live in intimacy with Jesus and to incarnate the love and peace of the Holy Family of Nazareth. Her spirituality is guided by St. Charles de Foucauld’s spirituality as he lived his life imitating the example of Mary and Joseph in Nazareth. As a contemplative in the heart of the world, this Sister is to be “leaven in the dough” as she seeks to make Jesus’ universal love reign in her heart and in all the hearts around her. She also reflects the maternal Heart of Mary and her love for all her children. Her life bears the stamp of ardent love and an intense desire to imitate Our Lady’s Visitation. This Sister’s ministry is focused on loving God and her neighbors through the corporal and spiritual works of mercy. She is that precious little vessel who joyfully brings Jesus’ presence wherever she serves others. and shows them the human Face of God.
