Benedictine Daughter of Divine Will
Benedictine Daughter of Divine Will – Sister Maria Pierina of the Holy Face, B.D.D.W. “Thy Kingdom come; Thy Will be done.”
Foundress: Mother Gabrielle Marie ( † a former Poor Clare Nun of Perpetual Adoration † )
Place: San Marino, Montefeltro, Italy
Year: 2011 A.D.
Her Charism: More than a charism, Divine Will is her way of life. Primarily contemplative but not cloistered, this Sister is devoted to living a life according to the Rule of St. Benedict and applying the writings of the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta (“Little Daughter of the Divine Will”), within the Benedictine context. of prayer and work. Eucharistic Adoration and devotion to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, the glorious St. Joseph, and spiritual childhood form the cornerstone of this new life – which, in the end, is not new at all. It is simply life at Nazareth, and is all about . . . Love, Charity, and Family. It is St. Joseph who shows her that the secret of everything lies in between the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Since God seems to prefer the small, the weak, the innocent little ones, she strives to be exactly that and hopes always to remain. a “little one” who does “little things” but with great love. Through a full monastic schedule of prayer and work and her apostolates of Perpetual Adoration and Reparation, this Benedictine Sister seeks to accomplish the complete triumph of the Kingdom of the Divine Will just as Jesus taught us in the Our Father. The Holy Family of Nazareth serves as her model as she seeks to lead a life of contemplation completely and at every moment in God’s Divine Will. For every ounce of love Our Lord pours into her during prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, she lets overflow onto those she meets with the goal of leading them to Christ.
