Her Charism:  The love of Jesus in the Eucharist is the Community food and center of this Sister’s life.  This is reflected in her charism: to love and worship God “in spirit and truth” (to adore), to love our neighbor and Jesus “as He loves us” (to offer), and to love herself with the power of the Holy Spirit in order to bring the grace of God’s love to people who have been in darkness (to rescue).  Aware that the world is desperately in need of beauty, and that “Love is not loved” (St. Francis), this “Trovadora” brings Christ to all Mankind through liturgical music and the arts.  She believes that music is the only art of Heaven here on earth and the only art of earth we take to Heaven.  Her holy habit is in honor of Our Lady of Mercy – La Virgen de las Mercedes.

Her Charism:  This Sister loves Jesus and members of His Mystical Body “with a delicacy of love that is found in a mother’s heart.”  In this way, she strives to “be Mary for Jesus.”  In the spirit of St. Ignatius Loyola, she makes reparation to God for the sins and sacrileges committed against Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament and prays that all God’s sons and daughters become a new creation.  By combining the contemplative with the active life, she reaches out to the poor and those on the fringes of society.  This is how she “becomes another Mary for Jesus.”  The motto of her Order is: “Love alone repairs.”

Her Charism:  Bound and totally consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, this Sister’s life is dedicated to a two-fold crusade:  the propagation and defense of Catholic dogma, and the conversion of America to the Catholic Church.  Walking in Jesus’ sandals and following His poverty, humility, and charity, she teaches her students the “narrow way of God in pure truth” according to the Gospel, which forms new apostles in classrooms.  Her prayer is to live in the spirit of St. Louis de Montfort’s “Total Consecration” and to be an instrument of grace used by Our Lady for the salvation of others.  She accomplishes this through her missionary apostolates of teaching, publishing, and doing radio broadcasts.  She also “reaches out to      “the man on the street” and goes door-to-door” offering informational pamphlets in an effort to spread the Faith and encourage continuing education in the Faith.  All is done in and for the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Her Charism:  This Vocationist Sister lives in the footsteps of Jesus, following His chaste, poor, obedient way of life.  Her first duty is to “be with Him” and be His saint.  For the achievement of this union, she considers the whole world as a “great sanctuary” and works to search out and help form priestly and religious vocations, especially among the underprivileged.  She is an act of love, a gift of love, a conversion of love, and a communion of love.  Her ultimate goal is to help all attain Divine Union with the Blessed Trinity by means of universal sanctification of souls.

Her Charism:  The special mission of this Sister is to completely offer herself to educate Arab girls and help them overcome illiteracy.  It also encompasses working to improve conditions for all women in a land where Jesus Himself exalted their dignity.  This charism invites a resolute trust and a firm hope in Divine Providence and Mary’s maternal protection. The humility and meekness of the Sister reflect the humility and meekness of Mary.  She abides in Jesus and in His love as branches to the vine, in order to bear much fruit.  This Sister builds her life of service and prayer around each beautiful Mystery of the Rosary.

Her Charism:  This humble, chaste and obedient Sister is dedicated to Christ and His Gospel, and works tirelessly for the extension of God’s Kingdom.  Under the protection of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, she also works for the conversion of sinners and the Christianization and rebuilding of society through the education and catechesis of children and young adults.  Mary inspires, permeates, and unifies all that she is and does, making this Sister a living image of Her in the world today.  Her Order’s motto is: To Jesus through Mary.

Her Charism:  Mary Immaculate – the One who continually responded “Yes” to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit – is this Sister’s model of love and openness to the Lord.  With her missionary zeal, she imitates Jesus in His task of Teacher Who announced the Kingdom to the multitudes and gathered children to lead them to the Father.  Just as Mary was redeemed at her Conception in view of the merits of her Son, so education in schools intends to be a means of preservation from sin, in order that youth may live as creative Christian citizens in our society.  Mary, under the mystery of the Immaculate Conception, is at the center of her charism which is Trinitarian, Christ-centered, and Eucharistic.  It has its roots in Christ the Teacher and Mary Immaculate, the first fruit of the redemption.

Her Charism:  Courageously and daringly this Sister discovers all paths to educate and be led by the Holy Spirit to help the poorest and most abandoned children.  With the tenderness of the maternal Heart of Mary, she vows to understand and internalize the struggles, anguish, and injustice delivered to those on the fringes of society.  This shepherdess perpetually listens for the Heartbeat of God and holds on to the hem of His garment while helping form the minds and the hearts of the young.

Sister of the Destitute –  Sister Gertrude Marie of St. Basil, S.D.

Her Charism:  Contemplating the Face of Jesus in the destitute, the aged, the unwanted, the downtrodden, and those often forsaken and driven out into the streets, this Sister turns herself into a living Gospel message of unconditional surrender and ardent love for the poor and suffering.  Filled with compassionate love, humility of heart, and meekness of spirit, she emulates the charism of St. Vincent de Paul, her Order’s patron, and the attitudes of Christ for the poor and oppressed.  The infinite compassion of Christ urges her to become a living sacrifice to God.  Lost in a Trinitarian communion, this Sister gets down to the depth of the miserable existence of the last and the least in schools, special education, Faith formation, hospitals, nursing homes, memory care and palliative care facilities, and mobile care units.  Evangelization is the primary goal of all her apostolic activities at all times.

Her Charism:  This Sister is an oasis of purity and suffering.  Her “true cloister” is the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Priest and Victim, Who has a Heart burning of love and suffering for each and every one of us.  She is Jesus’ consolation of earth.  Dedicated with fervor and determination (and without looking for rest), she pleads day and night for priests, our Pope, and for the salvation of the world.  As a victim of atonement, her mission is singular in purpose: to worship the Eucharist and to pray 24 hours a day, getting to know Jesus intimately and consoling Him.  It is through her communion with Jesus and her closeness with Mary in deep prayer that she is able to develop an exceptional intuition to perceive the needs and problems of the world.
